Grey area covers the North part of Heraklion, from Kokkini Hani to Fodele

The prefecture of Heraklion and capital of Crete is between Rethymno and Lassithi. It was the centre of Minoan civilization, Knossos, the legendary palace of Minoan, Festos and Malia are the biggest and most impressive palaces of the ancient world. The area comprises of beautiful villages perched atop picturesque mountains while attractive sandy and pebbled beaches mark the clear blue waterfront.
