We are delighted to announce from from May 15th 2011 Aegean Airlines present a new direct scheduled route from London Heathrow to Heraklion, Crete (this includes a business class section also) - at present only twice a week on a Monday and Thursday but we feel sure that if we all support it then it might become a daily flight. It is not yet on their website but I am sure it will be shortly, you can telephone them direct and check it out.
Now Aegean Air are flying from Athens to Sitia 5 times a week so if you are booking with Aegean Airlines from anywhere in the world you can get an onward flight to the far East of Crete - look at their website for all destinations and partner airlines. They tied up with big partner airlines in June 2010 STAR ALLIANCE and there are many options available.
Easy Jet fly many times a week direct now during 7 month season to Crete. It is also possible to get cheap flights to Athens and onward flights with local airlines. You can also continue your journey to Crete by Ferry from Athens.
