This village is 19 kms from the airport of Heraklion and from sandy beaches. Built on a hill with panoramic views of the countryside and Peza. It is a very rich village, the main products are sultana-raisins, grapes for the table and olive oil. At the entrance of the village is the installations of the Agrarian Union " PEZA " Nearby is the monastery of Agarathou, the biggest treasure in Crete founded in 1962 by the archaeological service, from the Empire of Basiliou B', Konstantinou H' and Nikiforou Foka. There are kafenions, tavernas, super markets ,bakery and other shops. Two kilometres outside the village is a big taverna with live music - traditional, bazooka.
