Pleasant large summer resort seaside village of Paleohora is situated on Southern West tip of Crete near the sea. About 75 kilometres from Hania. After Ierapetra this is the biggest town in southern Crete. During the last few years the village has turned into one of the busiest tourist destinations on the island, attracting great numbers of visitors during the summer. Many things to see and do for example visiting the Museum of History, the fortress Castel Selino and beautiful harbour. The village is built in a way that is separated into two, forming two beaches. One being a sandy beach and the other full of pebbles. Very busy in high season but there are still places to go to get away from the crowds.
